Diplomatic Security Special Agent (retired) – U.S. Dept of State – Worldwide 2017-2021 Served as an Assistant Regional Security Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Juba, South Sudan and the U.S. Consulate in Peshawar, Pakistan. Program Manager a wide variety of security programs; protected foreign service personnel, facilities, and sensitive information; conducted complex criminal and counter-terrorism investigations; coordinated with local and national level law enforcement agencies. Additionally, served as a Criminal Investigator for passport and visa fraud at the Diplomatic Security Field Office in Houston, Texas. Provided protection for the U.S. Secretary of State, both domestically and abroad. Security Protective Specialist (SPS)- U.S. Dept of State-Iraq/Afghanistan/Pakistan 2011-2015 Agent in Charge (AIC) for U.S. Ambassador’s protective security detail operating in high-threat regions of Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Led protective details for U.S. Department of State diplomats and visiting congressional delegations. Served in management role responsible for AIC assignments of and all protective operations and provided contract oversight of security contractors. Responsible for the conduct of site surveys to assess factors affecting the protective environment of venues to be visited. Protective Security Detail Team Leader- Blackwater/IDS- Iraq/Afghanistan 2008-2011 Served as the Shift Leader for a 25-man high-threat protective security team operating in Kabul, Afghanistan protecting U.S. State Department diplomats. Served as Shift Leader for a static guard force of 45 guards, consisting of American and Colombian personnel, responsible for the security of a U.S. Regional Embassy Office in Al Hillah, Iraq.
