I currently perform event and banquet services as an independent contractor. I meet with the group coordinator/host (ess) prior to functions, make introductions, and ensure that all arrangements are agreeable. Read and analyze banquet event order in order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, timeline, specific guest needs, meal service, action stations, etc. Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements. Follow up on special banquet event arrangements to ensure compliance. I also offer my professional bartending services for small to large events.

Manager, Tailwaggers Animal Welfare Benefit Shop, Pacific Grove, CA

I oversaw the day to day operations of the Benefit Shop, sharing the following duties with volunteers according to their abilities: receiving and sorting stock (including identifying valuable antiques and collectables, and processing in accordance with appropriate procedures), pricing stock appropriately according to guidelines, ensuring clothing is accurately sized, attractive window and stock displays with regular rotation, selling stock (in line with associated consumer sales legislation), appropriately recording and accounting for stock sales, arranging for disposal of unwanted goods and rubbish etc, keeping the shop and staff facilities clean, tidy and “fresh”, scheduling 15 volunteers, performing payroll duties and assisting with fundraising events. Under my management the shop was recognized in the Carmel Pine Cone Newspaper as the “Best Thrift Store in Pacific Grove” in 2016 and 2017.
