Leading a year-long campaign to reduce hospital-acquired conditions by personally holding training sessions for line services including cardiology, intensivists, surgery, etc. in order (for the first time in the hospital history) to avoid penalties from the state of Maryland for hospital-acquired conditions; as a result, the hospital received its first-ever grade of B from Leapfrog in 2020 and received a bonus from the state.
Leading the implementation of e-prescriptions, resulting in an increase of the percentage of the use of such prescriptions from 13% to over 90%
Developing an observation unit which allowed for a decrease in observation length-of-stay by more than 50% and a decrease of management resource utilization for observation patients by 45%
