PROFILE
Human Resources expert with strategic and organised management skills with 19+ years of experience in the field of Learning and Development, 9+ of these are at managerial level. Extensive network of local and international top-notch training consultants.
EXPERIENCE
Staff Development Officer – 22 November 2021 to date
Conducting the same duties that I was conducting when I was a Training Officer (Management Development). The only difference being that now I am a buffer between the Organisation and the Training Centre.
I am also a Part time Lecturer at the Zimbabwe Institute of Management. I lecture HR Management and General Management Modules.
Acting Training Manager – January 2021 – November 2021
Developed and implemented Training Strategies to meet the current and future manpower training requirements of the Railways.
Training Officer (Management Development), National Railways of Zimbabwe
January 2013 – December 2020
Performed periodic training needs analysis by working closely with 20+ Branch Heads and also by gleaning through Performance Appraisal forms to identify training initiatives and strategies for Supervisory and Management staff.
Formulated and implemented training and development strategies by designing Training and Development Programmes for Supervisory and Management Development Section on an annual basis.
Drew up annual training plans and budgets; prepared and consolidated statistical reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually) for the Supervisory and Management Development Section.
Liaised with various external training vendors and consultants to organise diverse training programmes and staff engagement activities for 100+ managers.
Periodically conducted management development courses such as: leadership; performance management; team building and working; principles of management; HR for Non HR managers, Result Based Management, Culture Change among others: Conducted Induction training for all newly hired managers. Monitored staff performance through the Performance Management System.
Evaluated the efficiency and effectiveness of all training and development initiatives in the section.
Advised senior management on various aspects of management development issues to facilitate policy formulation as and when required.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Successfully coordinated and facilitated training programmes that were designed to inculcate high performance culture following the restructuring exercise that took place recently in the NRZ.
I was part of the team that successfully facilitated and implemented the Result Based Management System when it was introduced in 2014.
Enhanced training standards by:
Acquiring new partnerships with training vendors and consultants.
Introduced Technology in training that is use of power point presentation.
Introduced the use of white boards, hence eliminating chalk board in the learning environment.

Passed eleven (11) courses for a Master of Science Degree in Human Resources Management with the Midlands State University, Zimbabwe. Could not complete the programme due to financial constraints (2013).
