ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Familiar with engineering drawings (P&ID, Isometrics, plot plan, PFD, GA), piping line classes and schedules.

Review the piping design documents (P&ID, isometric, GA’s, tie-in list, support details and MTO)

Familiar with application of international standard for process piping like ANSI/ASME B 31.3A and ASTM specifications with knowledge of ASME B16.5, ASME B 16.9 etc.

Overall responsible for Inter discipline coordination between the engineering and construction for the all technical related matters.

Check the material availability at site stock and the material replacements when required.

Compilation of piping scope activity work packs including MTO’s, drawing, method statements, sequences, manpower & equipment’s and project activity duration.

Responsible in assuring all pipeline systems in accordance with the specifications, correct routing of lines as per isometrics and P&ID.

Ability to do mark-ups & resolving tasks for S.C.R(shop change requirements) and F.C.R(field change requirements).

Ensure work execution in compliance with safety requirements and permit system (confined space, welding, and work at height).

Identify the piping materials deficiencies affecting in successful activity completion

Plans, organize and executes fabrication and erection works in accordance with project schedule and erection sequencing.

Developing Pipe Routing and Layouts in AutoCAD

Supervise fabrication and erection crews and assign manpower and equipment in accordance with priorities.

Monitoring the routing of piping, preparation, checking and review of as built drawing and getting approval from the client.

Through understanding of hydro test and pre-commissioning stages and hand on handling experience.

Estimating of material requirement after study of drawing and specification and generation of bill of materials for spools and fittings.

Responsible in the supervision of fit-up, welding and erection of pipelines, in pipe racks, line tracking and handling punch list works, fabrication and erection of structures and erection of equipment’s.

Handle responsibilities of preparing and submitting weekly working progress to the senior estimation engineer

Project the piping and mechanical progress measurement and review of contractor invoice in conjunction with site cost control department.

Participating in the procurement technical discussions with vendors and subcontractors; shall know to prepare the Technical Bid Evaluations to support the Engineering team as required.

Responsible for assisting preparing of technical and commercial bids.

Handle as well as prepare a list of all costs that were incurred in the project like temporary facilities and other expenses

Ensure the sequence of work by Civil, Steel structure, Equipment, Piping & Electrical departments.

Preparation of weld map for site condition.

To carry out re-instatement of piping and report preparation for installation of valves, remove temporary valve, gasket etc.

Ensure all method of statements and procedures, installation manuals and ITP’s comply with the project specifications.

Planning and checking of work progress and schedules to meet the deadlines/target dates.

Reviewing all site work and prepare the punch list for the construction contractors.

Checking loop check, activities of DCS, SCADA to review during commissioning period.

Preparing the commissioning checklist, checking the signals and update by software.

Coordinating with quality control departments for quality approval and representing matters with the client.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION

B.E. degree in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING from VINS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, NAGERCOIL at 2012. Affiliated to ANNA UNIVERSITY, CHENNAI and approved by ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION (AICTE)

PG Diploma in Oil and Gas piping design (1 months) from ASTS Technical Training Division, Cochin, Kerala.

Diploma in STCW convention from Ramana Academy of Maritime studies, Navi Mumbai, Maharastra

Diploma in QC Piping inspection and NDT from WQC institute of NDT and Inspection technology, Cochin.
