·Served with the 2nd Battalion, 401st Army Field Support Brigade (2-401st AFSB) QA Section; ensured vehicles and equipment were safe for operation.

·Performed inspections on all quarterly and semi-annual services upon completion to verify service was completed correctly; inspected all light, medium-heavy-to heavy wheeled tactical and tracked type combat vehicles as well as all FOV type trailers, including the water buffalo FOV.

·Performed and inspected extensive repairs, replacements, refurbishes, and modifications to restore Humvee parts and hulls for redeployment to the field.

·Inspected all repairs prior to final sign off of completion and ensured safety/use standards were met for repairs on parts (A/B/C/D beams, cowl panels/assemblies, floor pans, seat boxes, cargo bed panels, tailgates, seatbelts, hood latches, door hinges, tie downs, hood bumpers, etc.)—personally repaired all defects found until parts met required standards.

·Fabricated parts and templates using own knowledge or using complex drawings/layouts of heavy mobile equipment metal body construction—used a range of manual and power tools to complete work (metal thread taps, depths, hammers, chisels, punch sets, drills, etc.).

·Contributed expertise for 7 months in Iraq; carried out a wide range of mechanical work that included pulling engines out of HMMWVs, Hemmits, Hets, PLS, 920, LMTVs and FMTVs.

·Replaced major and minor parts (fuel injector pumps, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets, transmission filters, CDR valves, radiators, motor mounts, engines fans, transmission mounts, ball joints and drive lines), and basic/other services as required.

·Maintenance work included oil changes, lube jobs, suspension work, brakes, and any other such work necessary to ensure the safe, smooth operability of each vehicle.

·Served as a multi-skilled mechanic; repaired/maintained integrated electronic systems and the electrical, mechanical, electro-optical, pneumatic and hydraulic assemblies/subassemblies of weapons systems for combat vehicles including the Bradley Fighting Vehicle and Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS).

·Repair work included hole patches in floors, fenders, cowl assemblies and the cargo area, replaced major parts—rear fenders, cowl assemblies, drivers’ seats, floor sections, B pillars, seat boxes and left/right sills, and installed new hardware such as tie downs, B pillar bolts, Minden plates, seatbelts, blind nuts, door strikers, tail/marker light inserts.

·Completed work met industry standards and was always finished on time, on target and in budget; consistently recognized for ability to streamline processes while cutting costs and maintaining the highest levels of quality work.

·Maintained vehicle repair logs, performed initial/final inspections and Quality Assurance Reviews (QARs) and ensured all documentation was completed and signed by all persons that worked on each and every vehicle.
