2017 - 2018 Working at Hoa Sen Phu My Sheet Steel Plant Working as a mechanical engineer and took part in the following project:
- Installing, aligning the new machinery equipment for continuous galvanized line
- Maintaining the existing machinery equipment such as designing the new parts for replacing the old ones
- Upgrading and revamping the existing equipment of continuous galvanized line, color coating line

Dear Human Resources Manager
My full name is Ta Thanh Quan. I am currently a doctoral student of Mechanical Engineering department at Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. Today, I write this letter to apply the position of “R&D in Robotics” in your company. First of all, I would like to introduce a little bit about myself. In 2017, I graduated from the Honor Engineer Program at Ho Chi Minh University of Technology. I had a two-years working experiment in an industrial environment, especially for automation systems. That period offers me the value knowledge in mechanical systems and electrical systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI) including design, installation, maintenance automation system. Such knowledge is really useful for my research for industrial application. From 2020 to present, I am a doctoral student in Mechanical Engineering department, National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. My research focuses on developing the advanced control algorithm for the multi-axis system i.e. five-axis machine tool, 6-DOF robot to reduce tracking error and contour error. The developing process includes four states:
- Modeling the system which may be the linear system or nonlinear system
- Design the proper controller to guarantee the system in steady state and satisfy the desired response parameter: response time, steady-state error, stability, etc.
- Design the trial motion trajectory with proper the velocity profile, acceleration, jerk
- Simulation the algorithm to guarantee the developed algorithm to be properly before implementing in real system.
- Doing experiment to verify the algorithm to be able to run on the real machine. I have worked on some project such as reduce contour error and tracking error for machine tool by using iterative learning control (ILC), neural network, feedback linearization, etc. Recently, I am in the project of human-robot collaboration. This project includes two states: estimation of contact force, then control the contact force. Besides, the control system filed require active knowledge in mathematics for developing control algorithm, creative thinking on research progress, and programing skill for simulation and implementing experiment on real machine. Therefore, I am strongly confident with my mathematics, programming skill and critical thinking that meet your requirement for this position. I also have the knowledge in image processing i.e. image processing for detecting object, sorting object, estimate the object coordinate in 2D or 3D space.
With my experiment and knowledge in the control system filed, I hope that I will bring a lot of value for your company in “R&D in Robotics. I hope that with my knowledge and experiment I will be accepted for the position.
