January 2021 – Present: Mathematics Teacher at Nyathuna Secondary School
My primary responsibility as a Mathematic tutor at Nyanthuna High School is to guide students to understand the fundamentals principles of the discipline as a prelude to their final exams.
This is accomplished not only through tutoring but also by evaluating their understanding of concepts via continuous written assessments and other materials as prescribed by the syllabus. I am also tasked to coordinate with senior teachers and other colleagues to review end-term exams and make recommendations to potential syllabus changes.
March 2018 – December 2019: Mathematics and Chemistry Teacher at Dagoretti Mixed Secondary School
In this role, I was required to assist the Mathematics and Chemistry departments at Dagoretti Mixed Secondary School in daily tutoring duties.
I also worked with the rest of the team to invigilate national and regional exams. As a result, I gained important skills and knowledge on what is required to successfully administer inter-schools’ examinations.
