Remote Paramedic & Licensed Armed Security Officer: On the North Slope of the Alaskan Tundra in the Arctic Circle, my unique responsibilities as an independent operator encompass over 500 square miles of wilderness surrounding Pump Station 3 along the Alaskan Pipeline and the most dangerous travel corridor in North America. In addition to providing armed security of national critical infrastructure in my area of responsibility, I patrol over 150 miles of the Dalton Highway and pipeline right-of-way (ROW) access daily. I provide acute and emergency medical treatment in clinical, industrial, in-flight, and austere environments, following advanced clinic practice & remote paramedic guidelines, complying with advanced drug treatment protocols sanctioned by the State of Alaska and medical direction. Public Safety Programs Head & Emergency Medicine Program Director: My primary responsibilities facilitated the Emergency Medicine, Law Enforcement, and Fire Science Degree Programs. My primary responsibilities included providing acute and emergency medical care, coordinating patient MedEvacs to shore, and daily coordination with rig and corporate leadership. Program Director: As the first and only helicopter emergency transport service in Haiti, I provided oversight for world- class HEMS services and public outreach to the ten regions within the poorest and most violent country in the western hemisphere. Coordinated the entire aviation operational component and initiated and implement policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of care for our clinical team. This included carrying out the mission and goals of Haiti Air Ambulance and ensuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum. I collaborated with other managers to continue outreach for strengthening our partner network throughout Haiti and networked with HEMS organizations and individuals to maintain a robust volunteer program and industry alliances. 2007-2010: Combat Search and Rescue, Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Atlantic Norfolk, VA
HSCWL Combat Search and Rescue Chief Flight Paramedic: Led eight H-60 Helicopter Squadrons in executing 1,652 SAR and MEDEVAC missions globally. Deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, flying Sea Combat and Strike missions predominantly in a CSAR capacity, supporting forward combatant and special operations forces. Developed Norfolk’s first Advanced Air Medical Protocols based on operational needs as delineated in the NATO and US Navy Air Ambulance required skill sets. Drafted and implemented HSCWL’s dynamic Search and Rescue Corpsman PQS, an aggressive tool used in training and qualifying HSCWL-based SAR Corpsmen. Operation ‘Unified Response’ Naval SAR/MEDEVAC Coordinator: Tasked by Wing Commodore after the 2010 Port-au-Prince, Haiti Earthquake, I coordinated with 23 ships, 10 Coast Guard vessels, 57 helicopters, and 172 Navy rescue personnel in executing 1,287 Humanitarian Assistance - Disaster Relief (HADR) rescue missions, rescuing 1,589 victims in the first six weeks.
