To whom it may concern,
I’m applying for the position as a counselor. I am experienced with a diverse community of clients. I have knowledge of the intake process of clients and expertise in assisting the organizations mission. I am currently employed by a non- for- profit organization. My current position is in the sector of education as a Teacher’s Assistant/ Substitute Teacher. I serve preschool children, ages of 2.5 to 5 years of age with learning and intellectual disabilities.
I have earned my Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science (B.S) at Mercy College in May 2013 with honors. In May of 2020 I accomplished another milestone by earning my Master’s degree in Mental Health with honors from Mercy College. I am further my goals on becoming a Mental Health Counselor by obtaining the LMHC anticipated by February of 2021.
During my tenure at Argus Community ARU I was able to build and gain the experience as counselor who promoted the well-being of clients. My experience and education would make me a great candidate for a position as an entry level MH counselor. I have acquired management and organizational skills, knowable in client confidentiality and ethic codes.
My resume is attached to provide additional information on my qualifications and background.
Thank you for considering my candidacy.
