This position is twice challenging. Once because of the leading role EMECO plays in the shaping of the tourism industry in Egypt and the region, an effective role that is attested for by the ratings it is achieving, and the second time because of its Chairman and CEO, Mr. Elhamy ElZayat is who is also the President of the Egyptian Tourism Federation and the Honorary Consul General of New Zealand.

With such a prominent policy maker and businessman, the term “Executive Assistant” earns a new dimension. The circle of people that are contacted and dealt with on a daily basis includes top governmental officials, businessman, embassies, and all those involved in the hospitality industry.

The duties include professional and effective support to the Chairman in all his activities. Since the Cairo office is the central and main office in the firm, and because of his critical position, it is essential to ensure that the work is run smoothly and optimally to guarantee support for the Chairman and consequently achieve the goals and targets of the Company. Apart from the daily planning and scheduling of the work, duties include trouble shooting and problem screening, answering and directing faxes/e-mails, attending meetings, conferences, congresses, events, festivals as well as preparing for them, receiving visitors and offering hospitality and attending to their needs. Planning and scheduling also includes the Chairman’s meetings and events attended during his long-term international trips such that time is spent effectively.
