KEY QUALIFICATIONS :

• Assist the Divisional HSE Manager with maintaining the comprehensive HSE Program.

• Assist the Divisional HSE Manager with creating a safety plan that includes an assessment (Risk Assessment).

• Assist the Divisional HSE Manager with supervision and mentoring of the divisional field HSE team.

• Ensure that all field location practices are aligned with the expectations and standards for health and safety in the workplace.

• Actively work with the field level employees to ensure that the highest level of health and safety standards are applied and maintained in all field operations at all times.

• Assist the Divisional HSE Manager with organizing and coordinating regular safety meetings for the HSE team and divisional management/supervisory personnel to provide safety updates and track open HSE issues.

• Coordinate and/or attend regular safety meetings for the field level personnel to provide safety updates and communicate health and safety related issues.

• Ensure that all field employees have the appropriate up to date safety training certifications while making on-site visits.

• Verify that all on-site supervisors are providing their workers with the training and supervision required to safely complete work tasks, and identify hazards for all well site activities.

• Ensure that Senior Management is notified of safety issues in a timely manner.

• Ensure all site specific emergency response procedures are in place.

• Ensure all field employees are properly trained with site specific emergency response procedures.

• Responsible for the on-site delivery of new safety information.

• Responsible for the on-site review of safety procedures.

• Observe and monitor the well site activity to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and safe work procedures are being adhered to the safety program.

• Ensure all field employees understand and agree to adhere to the prime contractor’s safety program.

• Ensure the proper use, handling, storage, and maintenance of all safety / personal protective equipment by all field employees on-site.

• Assist the Divisional HSE Manager with reviewing and managing incident investigation reports, determine root cause of incidents and make corrective actions.Assist the Divisional HSE Manager with developing and/or refining health and safety policies, procedures, and documentation.

• Assist the Divisional HSE Manager in ensuring that training and education programs are in place to effectively communicate these policies and procedures to all employees on a regular basis.
