Daniel Mahoney, USCJ - all duties required to manage two offices including supervising paperwork for judge and three law clerks that changed yearly; setting up two offices, one in Connecticut and one in New York, supervising two moves in Connecticut and one in New York. Secretarial duties and Paralegal work researching cases including writing memos to assist judge in writing of decision, packing up office for one week of hearings each month to U.S. Court of Appeals, Foley Square, New York City. Coordinating all paperwork, repacking cases to return to Connecticut including arrangements for transportation; make all hotel reservations for office staff with hotels including troubleshooting challenges. Travel monthly to NYC for case sittings with approximately 30 cases and 25-30 ancillary motions. Assist in funeral arrangements in New York City when judge passed unexpectedly including coordinating security with U.S. Marshals and funeral home and church. Inventory and pack up entire office including law library and furnishings for transportation to New York. Complete all paperwork for transfer of office and personnel.
