Current Tesla Maintenance Technician with an Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience in subcontracting. I have over eight years’ experience participating in nuclear outage maintenance at power plants around the country. I also held a distinguished career as a third class machinist’s mate in the US Navy. I am highly skilled in the mechanical and ship engineering fields. I have worked on supply/oiler and amphibious assault vessels. I have been on three deployments which contributed to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Gigafactory 2 Plant Maintenance

Operate and monitor the operation of all HVAC related equipment in a manufacturing environment • Operate and monitor chiller, AHU, DI/RO Water generation and related equipment. • Operate and monitor compressed air, electrical substations, IWT, solvent recovery and related equipment. • Remotely start and stop equipment as well as maintain facility operation through control software. • Provide support for new equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and sustaining operations. • Perform routine field inspections of equipment and systems • Complete preventative maintenance on building facilities • Troubleshoot operational parameters that fall outside of normal operating regions • Observe all safety policies during the execution of required tasks. • Complete requested activities as assigned. • Utilize control systems to monitor equipment within the factory and verify recent trends. • Improve the reliability of equipment and systems through collaboration with teammates and facilities engineers • Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, defined plans, and written/verbal instructions. • Required to work with and around hazardous areas and hazardous chemicals and materials. • Implement and Sustain standard organizational practices and adhere to 5S practices

I possess detailed knowledge of the operating characteristics of marine machinery, equipment and systems, their functional relationships, and the applicable installation and repair procedures, methods, and trade practices. Under supervision and with approval, verbal or written, I tested, maintained, and repaired shipboard equipment and ship propulsion machinery. I have a vast knowledge of auxiliary steam, diesel machinery, generators, boilers, electric systems, gas turbines, and pumps. Refueling work performed (including maintenance on diesel-propelled ships):

Also performed maintenance on Octopus, revamped ductwork, cavity seals, and upper internals.

A 1200 plant facility

Ensured proper maintenance of naval boilers, steam turbines, reduction gears, propellers and shafting.

Responsible for the installation and repair of steering assemblies, main shafting, and power drives, main propulsion reduction gears, lubricating and control systems.

Worked with turbo generators and main circulating pumps.

Maintained and repaired electro-hydraulic drive machinery and electro-hydraulic steering gears.

Accounted for refueling process

While docked in the shipyard for nine months, I worked in Shop 38 refurbishing, repairing, remanufacturing, and calibrating gauges.

Install new machinery using Task Group Instructions, Shift Reports, Sketches, Blueprints, and deficiency logs.

Maintenance and repair of governors

Analyzed, tested, and treated feed water, boiler water and condensate.
