Schedule inspections with the FEMA disaster survivor on a first-in, first-out basis
Inspector must meet with the FEMA disaster survivor (or approve designee) Relational/Customer Service Skills
Performs inspections and assesses damage of residences. Documents the damages sustained based on extensive knowledge of construction techniques.
Provide and explain FEMA provided documents and answer basic questions from applicants about the FEMA process.
Assesses damage to dwellings and the overall habitability of homes and addresses each appropriate field using the Ace Field Software.
Take interior and exterior photos of the dwelling and damages reflective of the habitability determination
Measure rooms in which damage occurred and total square footage of dwelling
Assess appliance damages before recording them as Repair or Replace
Assess damage to the roof from the ground; assess damage in the crawlspace from the exterior
Reviews, analyzes and verifies occupancy documentation provided by applicant such as mortgage payment books, deeds and various insurance documents.
Provides disaster assistance program information to applicants.
Performs other duties as assigned.
