Led the hotel pre-opening operations. Due to the owner, financial constraints the hotel opening was freeze.

Directed hotel property development, completion and pre-opening.

Short assignment to execute Starwood branding and to deliver leadership to the hotel. Focused on the hotel strategies to streamline the entire hotel operations with the company's brand standards. The Sheraton Tashkent Hotel & Towers was located in the heart of Tashkent. The hotel offers 251 well-appointed rooms with 01 Presidential, 07 Diplomatic Suites, Studio and Classic Rooms. An open-air local ethnic restaurant, a-all day dining, a specialty Mediterranean Restaurant, 02 Bars. The Hotel offers a Ballroom, and 04 meeting rooms. I was among the pre-opening team of the hotel in 1999.

Key Achievements:

Overall Guest Satisfaction Index improved by 90%.

Hotel occupancy increased by 5%, over and above 2003.

Bottom line increased by 3%, due to sales increase and reducing operating costs.

Reduced staff turnover that resulted in less investment in staff hiring & training that resulted in improved productivity. The Associates Engagement Index improved by 10%.

Delivered single digit RevPAR growth in 2004.

Introduced a 24 hours Lobby Bar and a BBQ Restaurant around the pool during summers. Managed both the projects in house, with a bare minimum budget.
