MANAGEMENT
•Supervised a team of seven respiratory therapist. Ensured adequate staffing by scheduling and training staff to properly and efficiently care for patients. Additional staff that were trained in the care of tracheostomy patients included nurses, certified nurse aides, physical therapist and speech therapist. Responsible for being part of the Interdisciplinary Team to initiate a plan of care in conjunction with speech therapy, assisting tracheostomy patients with rehabilitation. Participated in marketing by evaluating and assessing high acuity pulmonary patients as potential residents of a pulmonary rehabilitation unit.
