Clinic and Hospital:
- Performed physical examinations, including general wellness
and sick visit history/exams for men, women, and children, acute
and chronic. Performed many pelvic exams, pap smears, prostate
and rectal exams.
- Consulted between 10 and 20 patients per day at the clinic.
- Ordered appropriate labs and x-rays and other diagnostics as
needed.
- Served as hospitalist, taking first call, taking care of emergencies,
new patients and taking care of inpatient problems in 24-hour
shifts, 2 - 3 times/week.
- Diagnosed and treated chronic healthcare issues and provided
chronic and acute care for the following:
Hypertension, Diabetes mellitus, Asthma, CVAs,
Pulmonary embolism, CHF, kidney disease, osteomyelitis,
anemia, sinusitis, otitis media, upper respiratory infections,
pneumonia, hypo and hyperthyroidism, STD's, fibroids,
infertility, UTIs and many other.
- Diagnosed and treated many illnesses/injuries only
seen in Africa: Malaria (cerebral and subacute), viral and bacterial
meningitis, tetanus, typhoid fever, amebiasis, snake bites,
parasitic infections of all kinds, and other infectious diseases
such as: tuberculosis, HIV, hepatitis, and leprosy
- Diagnosed and treated simple physical injuries also such as
simple fractures with casting, strains, dislocations. Also gave
some joint injections and treated some lacerations with sutures.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Creator/Facilitator of an HIV/AIDS community outreach by

for those affected by HIV.
