Under the supervision of a registered nurse on the telemetry unit, I assisted with patient care tasks such as purposeful rounding, recording patient activities/behavior, monitoring vitals, hygiene care, ambulation assistance, maintaining a safe and clean environment, recording intake and output, and helping patients with meals as necessary. Reported changes to patients’ statuses to medical personnel in a timely manner. Promptly answering call lights and responding to patient’s needs.

I was granted direct entry into the SIUE nursing program by obtaining over a 3.5 GPA in my high school courses as well as a SAT score over 1130. I was awarded the Cougar Pride Scholarship and have maintained the requirements each semester. I was on the Dean’s List for the Fall of 2019 semester.

High School Diploma / Jersey Community High School

I graduated with highest honors of Summa Cum Laude and was a member of the National Honor Society my junior and senior year. While maintaining my grades and spending time on extracurriculars and a job, I earned thirty college credit hours through Lewis and Clark Community College. There were various scholarships I received my senior year.

Activities

While in high school, I was a member of class council and Key Club for three years in which I was a class leader my senior year. I was a varsity tennis player for three years receiving Career Most Improved my senior year. At SIUE, I am involved in Epsilon Sigma Alpha and the Student Nurse Association. Through both organizations, I have volunteered my time for various events on campus and the community.
