As an MDO manager I am responsible for leading an hourly team and influencing the entire distribution team in a fast/paced environment to accomplish set daily goals, as safely and productively as possible. In this role I am responsible for handling merchandise as well as developing and implementing team goals. I am responsible for hiring, evaluation, development, and discipline for a team of 15 hourly associates. Some of my major tasks, responsibilities & key accountabilities are: Managing processes to ensure operational procedures are being followed effectively to ensure efficient work flow and correct production. Also work in conjunction with the operation manager to keep a smooth and progressive workflow with our #3PL on-site delivery and transportation agent for all outbound loads, review transportation carrier performance. I am responsible for ensuring a culture of safety throughout the warehouse by following Home Depot safety policies and procedures - monitor warehouse safety, physical security and operational metrics on a daily basis.
