I was a franchise owner. However, we sold our only counts and we were the first franchise in the top 10% in the US for infectious control janitorial services and long-term care hospitals, hospice centers, dialysis centers, radio stations, restaurants, executive offices, and houses. Knowledge of P&L budgeting, hiring techniques, budget setting, I handled all of her marketing, I was the first franchisee to open into hospitals. Therefore the owner of the company would send me to other states to teach other franchisees how to open hospitals. Immaculate recordkeeping. I was taught years ago by my father who is very successful that every individual no matter how different they are will bring something to the table . I believe people should be treated with the upmost respect and any corrections needed should always be done in a positive gross way privately. Building your teams confidence and sharing your vision and success to where it becomes theirs there is no team stronger . I have managed up to 54 employees, I manage my accounting bookkeeper sales manager met with each one of my CEOs weekly. I believe the problems or I should say areas that need more educating or areas that can be intimidating to people need to be discussed at that moment. I believe that by communicating constantly and constantly training and growing is another way for great success. The greatest reward I really got out of owning my own business, wasn’t just the money nor was it the sleepless nights worries the stress it was the fact that I was able to watch several employees grow successfully to move on and buy their own franchises. People often ask me why do you train people to leave. My answer was I don’t train them to leave a train them to move up to want more to expect more push yourself to a limit that you don’t believe you can reach. And when that happens when you turn around and look you know that success comes in more ways than most people understand. I am competitive in a good way however, my team always knows upfront we are aiming for the top. I’ve always set my standards higher than what any of my customers expected. I kept all customers except one for almost 15 years. I had a 97.6 customer retention any 98.4% employee retention. This is a proud moment of my business. To be able to retain customers and employees is a balance. Our business did a little over 2 million a year and these were all sales I brought in myself which is very different in the franchise world. We did our own billing hiring, marketing, and never once in 15 years did the corporate office ever have to interfere with our customers, or employees for any problems. We were franchise of the year five years in for 12 years I won standard of excellence. I was the top 10% infectious control cleaner and terminal cleaner in the United States. I decided to change careers because I wore 10 to 15 hats every day. I’d like to focus on perfecting one or two. And that would be to build a successful, rewarding, prosperous, and inspirational team. I know I may not be management yet. However I am a team player and respect my leader I invite different views and new ways of doing things. This world has changed and I am enjoying changing with it. I know I am an asset and can bring much positive, teaching, And learning environment. I will say it again as my father side without being able to listen you’re not able to learn. If you can’t learn you can’t move forward. Always keep your mind open to all ideas. And always turn a negative situation into a positive training situation.

But the most important person is your employee . Without them you cannot do your part they are very important. I know for 15 years each day I Saint each employee for coming for putting in the work they did for making changes that they weren’t comfortable with and I was grateful that they trusted me enough to step out of their box and learn new things. Again I know this works because I’ve seen a few employees that I hired to either empty trash dust or terminal clean a room Transform And she’s successful business owners. Whether it was environmental services, Or whatever business they decided to do. Even after all these years they still call and ask advice. It makes me know what I did all those hours, all those nights and days, in times when I would want to throw my hat in the handlebars I would look to my side and say they depend on me. Without this their families are affected if they are willing to come every day and give me everything they got. I owed it to them not to give up to keep growing to keep showing them it can’t be done. I built this business with a vacuum from the ground up. I was also featured in an article 40 under 40. I am proud as a woman to be able to show others how important it is that people had a clean, positive, place to either die which everyone deserves, eat, or office environment were vents are clean restrooms are clean and diseases aren’t passed around. People used to laugh about janitors. I was proud to know that we made their environment safe clean and secure for them to come to each day. It didn’t matter To me if I was recognized for this or not it was a teen charge.
