• Reprographics for research and administrative staff including document binding and distribution, Wet process photostat printing, large format poster printing, blueprint duplication with large format copier.
• Maintained supplies for large fleet of printers and multi-function copiers in different departments for staff of up to three hundred.
• Help-desk duties regarding printer driver installs and wired/wireless access for meeting rooms and visitors.
• Upon elimination of the graphics department, I accepted challenge to become functionally literate in Photoshop, Quark, and Illustrator thus preserving utility of my continuation whilst other Xerox staff there were downsized.
• Upon elimination of the full time company photographer, I became the photographer for events, technical photos, head shots, passport and visa photos. In this vein, I also became the videographer for events and training.
• Maintained conference room supplies, and ordered equipment (e.g. projectors and supplies such as cabling).
• Was on call for IT issues such as wired network connections through routers or malfunctioning/ incorrectly configured equipment.
• Was responsible for the creation of proximity sensor photo I.D. badges for staff and contractors. This included maintaining the database and assigning permission as well as replacing lost or damaged badges. This was unusual as due to security reasons; only Philips employees typically did this at other locations due to the ability to grant and revoke access to different sensitive areas.
• Upon elimination of full time librarian, I became responsible for the maintenance of the library regarding lending and tracking of books. In addition, became the curator for periodicals including subscription,stacking and rotation of issues. I procured abstracts and articles from a variety of professional publishing sources (e.g. Elsevier, JAMA,BMJ,Science Direct, Wiley, etc), in both electronic and hard copy form according to the researchers' requests. This involved searching for and paying for said items.
• As pressures reduced Xerox's footprint even further, I had reception duties at the front desk an received visitors and directed incoming calls. I also coordinated with taxi and limousine companies for daily trips to the train station as well as visitor trips to airports.
• Became a CFR (Certified First Responder) for the company First Aid Squad.
•In the latter two years, Philips changed preferred vendors for their national accounts due to a lower bid.they opted to retain me at this particular location despite the financial penalty. For more than two years, I was the only Xerox employee in the country working for Philips. Education
