FAYETTEVILLE TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE — Fayetteville, NC

Provide instruction to students concerning various topics, advise up to 50 students plan of classes to take, serve on various standing committees, develop course content, and develop on-line courses, create special software solutions for recurring administrative functions. Led a task force on application implementation. Monitored the progression of student outcomes for up to 250 students at a time. Counseled students that are not achieving to their potential. Designed and implemented software solutions as needs arose. Key tools used: Microsoft Suite®, to include Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Using Access and system’s development methodology, initiated projects to reduce redundancy and improve accuracy to over 99.5% and achieve faster turn-around of financial distributions and institutional-wide data collection.

Business Information Systems: This course introduces a student to basic needs of enterprise computing. Specifics include hardware and software requirements for Enterprise Resource Requirements, Disaster Recovery Planning, Developing and Integrating Business Purpose Statements to align business and IT goals.

Spreadsheets I & II – These courses combine spreadsheet development basics (I) and business mathematical models (II) to include complex function development, use of VBA for end-user ease, planning and documentation requirements, integration with VB programs and database import/export features.

Database Design and Development: This course introduces the various terminology associated with database design. Proper design methodology is stressed. Culminates in a completed project that encompasses system analysis, design and implementation.
