Furthermore I oversaw many similar software implementation as well as aiding the director of pharmacy on evaluating such softwares and programs, doing cost effectiveness analysis for other similar products and helping him and the hospital decide on which programs to aquire. Also I constantly worked on pharmacy related error analysis, and periodically updated and fine tuning order sets and their parameters for creating more user friendly sets and minimizing and eventually eliminating errors stemming from entry of these sets.

WORK EXPERIENCE

President of AAMH Pharmaceuticals Inc/ A Clinical and Businesss Consulting Company

As the CEO of AAMH consulting, our main goal is to provide the best and most effective strategies to our clients.

Our clients ranged from individuals trying to start their own pharmacy business, also pharmacy owners who wanted strategies on best practices to maximize efficiency in their workflow while maximizing profit margins, and other clients, including a Hollywood production company, among other businesses.

Given my extensive experience in clinical and business fronts, for individuals starting their own businesses, I was able to provide them with the knowledge needed to complete all documentation, provided guidance on which routes are best to approach in each step, all the way through teaching proper inventory management to maximize cashflow, and directing them to how to best tackle day to day problems. Also due to the tough time new and existing independent pharmacies are facing, one of our main goals was also to assess each pharmacy and provide them a plan on how to capitalize on the possible opportunities each pharmacy has. We helped pharmacies capitalize on doing MTM and CMR for qualifying patients to improve quality of care as well as increase profitability by decreasing possible deductions that could happen if missed. Other pharmacies we helped them increase their profitability by assessing each medication’s utilization rate (MUR) and based on that data form new thresholds for minimum and maximum quantities which in turn leads to a higher inventory turn around and an increase in cash flow by avoiding having medications sit on the shelf for longer periods of time.

Also using my long experience in being a hospital clinical pharmacist, we also helped pharmacies to comply with new compounding procedures (such as USP 800), again using my knowledge from hospital work, we helped pharmacies to expand into sterile compounding by helping to provide the proper guidance on sterile compounding regulations and teaching them best practice methods used by hospitals to ensure they succeed with best patient outcomes.

Another point, we had other business owners, including a production company, hired us to consult on best ways to keep up with best practices and stay up to date with the ever changing regulations related to the Covid-19 pandemic, including but not limited to, help them procure necessary PPE’s, contacting the proper companies to make all the signage needed in the workplace to keep it safe and comply with the “6 feet rule”, and was also asked to personally oversee the set to assess and ensure that it is compliant with all the new regulations.
