Air Traffic Control

Control air traffic operations at Air Mobility Commands busiest tower with 64,000 aircraft annually providing traffic advisories, safety alerts, flight plans and clearances. Perform daily critical thinking, multi-tasking and problem solving to provide the most efficient and safest operations. Proficiency and expertise communication skills led to being awarded Operations Support Airman of the Year 2021 at multiple levels.

Utilize control tower display, ATC communication, weather and airfield systems equipment; monitored navigational aids in excess of $4.1M and review of NOTAM

Led upgrade/qualification/proficiency training for 8 trainees utilizing live traffic and $1.2M tower Simulator System accruing more than 1,400 hours/243 days of training. During this time, training requirements were cut 10% after revising 2 Position Certification Guides. Accomplishments recognized awarded Air Mobility Command Trainer of the Year 2021.

Facilitate tower assault zone training by piloting 82 scenarios to prime 45 controllers/780 minutes after 5 year closure. This produced local deployment training capabilities for C130 aircraft pilots for departures and arrivals on a shortened landing surface.

Pioneered and assembled 10+ variations for Terminal High Altitude Air Defense (THAAD) and Targeted Advanced Capability Three (PAC-3) systems to meet Class 3 quality standards for complex wire harness assemblies and cables that produced anti-ballistic missile defense systems.

Tediously soldered terminals and Circuit Card Assemblies with 160% efficiency on average producing quality and foreign object debris free assemblies.

Revised and reconstructed build instructions with Engineering and process improvement personnel to eliminate allotted time and cost for each build and create more comprehensible instructions.

Assisted with PP&C and warehouse operations to include inventory control and fabrication of assembly kits followed with distribution to applicable programs for assembly.
