Openso Engineering Jan 2022 to Present

Senior Design Engineer Edwardsville, IL

Worked on different projects for the clients. Ansys is used for the finite element analysis and CAESAR II has been used for pipe stress analysis. SolidWorks has been used for creating the 2-D drawing of improvised geometry if needed. Created a 3-D model from the 2-D drawing provided by the client, worked on linear, nonlinear finite element analysis, linear and nonlinear buckling analysis using Ansys, and followed the ASME guidelines for the design and operating acceptance criteria. For a few projects, ASCE guidelines have been used for the occasional loads like wind, seismic, etc. If the component is not adequate with the loading condition provided by the client, improvised geometry

(solution) is provided to the client which works. The detailed work with the clients is provided below:

• Company A: Worked on linear and nonlinear finite element analysis using Ansys. Hand calculated wind and seismic loading based on ASME.

• Company B: Worked on cyclone project based on the finite element analysis. Created 3-D model from 2-D drawing. Performed linear and nonlinear finite element analysis. Buckling analysis has also been performed. Followed the guidelines provided in ASME section VIII Division 2. Gave the solution of the support lugs with an improvised model as it was not adequate with the current loading condition. Created improvised geometry using SolidWorks.

• Company C: Worked on pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II. Created the pipe model and hand calculated the unsupported length and boundary conditions. Provided the design of supports and its locations. Followed the guidelines provided by ASME B31.3 and ASCE 10 for the occasional loads. WRC-107 has been used for nozzle connection adequacy with the pressure vessel tanks.

• Company D: Worked on corn syrup vessel project. Created 3-D model from 2-D engineering drawing in Ansys. Performed linear and nonlinear finite element analysis. The University of Texas at Arlington Sept 2018 to May 2021 Graduate Teaching Assistant Arlington, TX

Executed teaching assistant duties in Engineering Statistics, Mechanical Design, and Engineering Analysis classes. Developed lecture slides in collaboration with professors. Graded homework and exam papers, administering aid to and resolving questions of undergraduate students during regular office hours.

• Led 3 undergraduate lectures per semester, including statics and mechanical design. Gateforum Educational Services Private Limited Sept 2014 to Aug 2016 Mechanical Instructor Hyderabad, India

Facilitated undergraduate mechanical engineering classes, including Engineering Statistics, Mechanical Design, Strength of Materials, and Structural Dynamics.
