Take work orders. Read print and decide in which order i need 2 ton rolls of paper laid down. Measure all rolls to ensure they are correct as sometimes inaccurate tags may be placed on them. Manually push them so that they can be lifted and moved via machine into the splicer. Splice roll, ensuring the paper doesn't tear. Pull the cores out of the rolls. Help with the medium liner and bottom liner; when the splices do tear. Very fast paced work. No breaks. The stacker operations include. Read orders to know which orders are coming up. Adjust the pressure on the rollers to ensure there is no "shooters" in which the boards dont stack correctly. Causing the entire line to possibly be stopped. Communicate all issues with control room operator regarding below standard boards. Pull all splices. Operate conveyor belt line by raising them and lowering them in conjunction with the "backboard". Collect order for whatever press i mat be assigned. Remove die by unclamping the current die in press. Using a forklift, relocate die to assigned area. Read print and determine the depth the Ram will need to be set at. ( So that the press doesn't crash the die). Clean all press tables out including the "T" slots. Removing all slugs. Using forklift, set the die in the press. Many presses needed to be manually clamped down by building 8 clamps. 4 on top and 4 on bottom. Using step blocks and U shaped clamp parts, i would build the clamp ensuring they would hold will, running a 500 ton Verson press. Bring the tables and gongs and put them in place to run production. Bring material ( steel blanks). Hit first piece and adjust the Ram until the part is up to standards. Check the first piece using micrometers, calipers, height gauge, apex. Verify and tag the first piece.

Start all machines. Do an inspection before running to make sure they are in good running condition. Prepare by bringing in the corn mill and setting up the mixers run time according to the order printout. Weigh and mix the ingredients. Apply to the mixer. Along with water and other unmentioned ingredients. Mix. Make the dough into round shape by hand. (Skill learned with experience). Place into roller cutters. Ensure there are no holes in tortilla and adjust accordingly. Adjust temperature to the oven if needed. Count and stack product allowing cooling process to run its course. Pack. If we are making tortilla chips then the process will vary. Including cutting the product and weighing the raw material/product. Unloaded and loaded all product into trucks. Delivered thwart customers: from Grand Rapids Michigan to Evansville Indiana. Ensure the clients were delivered the best product in the country. ( we are still told to this day Nueva Frontera had the best authentic product by clients asking if the business will resume someday soon).
