Assisted the General Manager in the operation of 24 multi-screen movie theaters in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio. Supervised 82 direct reports and oversaw all aspects of the theater operations. Developed and managed training programs to improve customer service, reduce turnover, and improve operating efficiency.

Developed and implemented a text messaging promotion program. Asked the VP of Sales and Marketing to purchase a short texting code for cell phones to allow for contests and promotions to increase customer traffic. Result: This texting project helped increase customer traffic and concession profits by 10 percent in three consecutive quarters. The texting code was also used to send broadcast messages to employees to assist in replacement staffing for callouts. Recommended the purchase of a Superior Water system to reduce the damage that hard-water and bacteria had inflicted on the drink machines and reduce the amount of soda syrup needed to prepare soft drinks. Result: This $8K purchase (per location) reduced inventory purchase by 12 percent, saving the company $8K a week in vendor purchases for the 24 theaters. Standardized and streamlined closing procedures. Created a nightly checklist with time stamps. Result: Reduced payroll costs by 20 percent over a 9-month period and reduced closing duties from 2 hours to ten minutes.
