● Anticipating deliveries, preparing available receiving space for arrival of product.
● Visually and physically inspecting product upon arrival for both damage and product accuracy.
● Interacting, communicating effectively with delivery drivers and receiving staff.
● Entering stock into Epicor input inventory system via computer; filling out, organizing, scanning, uploading, and filing receiving paperwork.
● Managing out of stock product, using Excel, to ensure that backordered product needed urgently to complete jobs is given top priority and delivered to plant with expedience.
● Physically unloading freight from containers (by hand), and from trailers (by hand, pallet truck or forklift), and from small package carriers (FedEx, UPS, etc.), also by hand.
● Training new employees, delegating responsibilities to them based on their strengths and training level, and following up to ensure that tasks are completed properly and in a timely fashion.

● Anticipating deliveries, preparing warehouse for arrival of product.
● Entering stock into Acumatica ERP input inventory system via computer; filling out, organizing, uploading, filing receiving paperwork.
● Processing backordered goods in an expedited fashion, preparing them to be cut and shipped same day.
● Inspecting goods to evaluate quality upon receipt to identify flaws and shortage, among other things, and in anticipation of specific complaints from specific customers for whom the product is earmarked.
● Communicating, in person and via email, with various departments within the company countless times each day, including, but not limited to, purchasing, customer service, shipping, sampling, accounts payable, and order cutting personnel in an effort to anticipate and evaluate the needs of each of those departments and to determine how the receiving department can best assist them in accomplishing daily goals.
● Physically unloading freight from trailers, using pallet truck or forklift, and from small package trucks (UPS, FedEx, etc.), usually by hand.
● Assisting walk-in customers in selecting materials and supplies for specific projects.
● Conducting cash and credit card transactions for walk-in customers.
● Preparing claim reports for non-conforming goods, submitting to suppliers, communicating with them on damage resolution, reship dates, and securing Return Authorizations to ensure swift reimbursement and prompt return of substandard product.
● Training new employees, delegating responsibilities to assistants, and following up to ensure tasks are completed properly.
Training
Trained and certified on forklift, electric stock picker, and Crown reach truck. Comfortable with and conditioned to routinely lifting and carrying items of 30-100 lbs., and occasionally more, countless times per day.
