I started school when I was 4 & graduated in 1976 as a junior 2 years in 1. I had my 1st business Pasco's Produce in Chico, Ca in 1977 @ 17, I had to close it after 18 months due to Iran Contra affair. California gas stations were closed all weekend, made most of my $$ on weekends. I wholesaled produce myself for a year. In 1980 I bought 6 tons of Burl Redwood drove that back here was very hard to sell. So I got a job as a roofer for 6 months there, then was a foreman of a roofing crew @ James W Fox Co for years. Then in 1984 I bought 2724 Cleveland Ave store and opened Pasco's Produce there and had a lottery license, sold $500,000 in lottery tickets a year but hardly any produce. Even after I changed it to Beer Wine carry out wasn't bringing in much revenue, but Ohio Lottery sales paid me 5.5%. I had to sell it in 18 months. Guy walked in offered to buy it for Ohio Check Cashers, I negotiated price up then sold it. Took 3-ton truck with a liftgate started a small trucking company for a few years. Sold my truck became a stockbroker for Columbus Skyline Securities in summer of 1989 got my state license, 18 months later in 1990 company was shut down for violating state securities laws. I opened CA Limousine in 1991 got 15% of Columbus Corporate business in 3 years with my ability to close deals and I always did their 1st run to make sure they were handled and treated very good. I had 4 limousines and 1 limo bus after 3 1/2 years and 6 drivers. Business went up 20% to 40% a year for 8 1/2 years. After 9 1/2 years plunged 40%. I got an offer sold that business and the last 2 newer limousines and the phone #! I sold my house & traded stocks for many years. I opened Ray's Rare Designs a wholesale diamond business and I Buy Gold in 2005. I closed I Buy Gold after no purchases in 2017 and my diamond sales quit in March of 2020 due to Pandemic and was put on unemployment. I became senior sales @ Ricart UCF in 7 days in February 2012 and was their 1st certified salesman by Dealer Rater in 2014, by my customers reviews and even sold a few diamonds and made an engagement ring for a director. I was promoted to appraiser in February of 2015, became best they ever had in 5 months. Rhett Ricart used me every time to get his demo ready for Used Car lot. I was that thorough, good and honest. His personal assistant Sherry would come to our building say I need Ray. Supervisor would say Ray is the best appraiser we got. Always handled vehicles for Rhett Ricart the owner! I trained many salesmen & I closed many other salesman's deals at the UCF. I also trained 3 appraisers in 2016. Looking for senior sales consultant job or sales manager job in Columbus. I can sell, close deals, advertise, hire, handle issues, complaints and motivate sales people.
