As a Youth Service Worker, I managed a caseload of approximately 25 youths. I would refer youths to services, such as Safe At Home or counseling services. I monitored the progress and adjusted services according to the needs of the child. I gave reports to attorneys, judges, and ad litem’s. When ordered by the court, I would find placement and transport the youth to that facility. All youth were visited in person at least once a month.

I delivered copies of schedules to various units within the hospital. I entered charges from patient charts who had underwent endoscopic procedures. I called doctors or their staff to confirm the schedule for the next day. While in this position, I started a process of giving confirmation numbers to reduce error rates and started a process of scheduling surgeries via fax.

As a Surgical Controller, I controlled the flow of information in the operating rooms on the cardiovascular side. I screened telephone calls and routed them accordingly. I ordered blood products and x-rays for the rooms. I also gave lunch relief to the controller on the general side. I added emergency cases and contacted the appropriate personnel. I maintained the O.R. board and made emergency charts as cases were added to the schedule. In addition, I checked blood products with the circulating nurse before they were taken back to the operating room.
