ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist other employees with setups, methods and procedures.

• Creating 2D and 3D designs by using AutoCAD software.

• Optimum time consuming programming of Tool flow path using ARTCAM software and verifying the same via simulation, for the design created.

• Executing the Tool Path using CNC router machine.

• Load and unload cutters following program information, using tool holders, spindle tapers, hand tools and overhead cranes.

• Upload and Download CNC programs to machine controller, using computer programs from various servers.

• Select and check cutting tools per CNC program.

• Attach machine accessories, tools and shop aides, using dial indicators, edge finders, wrenches, bolts, clamps and overhead cranes.

• Prepare to set up job by reviewing work order.

• Monitor machine during operation for unusual vibration or sounds, watch machine gauges and controller display for warnings and visually check cutter path, clearance, chips to ensure smooth operation.

• Set machine coordinates as per CNC documents, including cutter offset, tool heights and probes.

• Perform other work related tasks as assigned.

• Make fine adjustments to machine to bring part with tolerances.

• Perform machine operating adjustments and regulates and controls such as coolant flow, machine rate.

• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules and standards.

• Reports any safety violation, machining equipment misusage and improperly performed work to supervisor or lead.
