v Led team in capturing details and presenting live coverage of Hurricane Irene in August 2011, which required quick evacuation of team following a major sea surge. Drove decision-making to relocate to a safer area, without losing a live shot.
v Provided live shots from Casas Adobe, Arizona following the shooting of U.S. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords that were used for broadcast by CBS clients in America and around the world.

Spearheaded all editorial and technical aspects of daily news operations, including hiring, scheduling and leading 50-member staff across all functions. Set direction and tone by leading morning briefings to define stories of interest, discuss strategies and details, and determine local/viewer interest. Authorized programming interruptions for breaking news coverage, and coordinated with state and local law enforcement, as well as emergency management officials, to deliver information to viewers. v Drove compelling coverage of the 2007 Crandall Canyon Mine disaster coverage; utilized contacts within the Governor’s office and Verizon to have a cellular tower placed near the scene to enable communication.
v Delivered 12 straight hours of live broadcast on the Trolley Square shooting in Salt Lake City, where a lone gunman killed five bystanders and wounded four others before being shot dead by police .
v Gained edge over competitors in capturing and communicating major stories by building strong relationships with local and federal law enforcement.
