Project Name : ALTERNATE METHOD FOR REMOVAL OF PAINT

[ STRIPPING ] FROM DEFECTED METAL PARTS

This Project will highlight on the Alternate methods like Anodic Stripping Voltammetry [ ASV ] for removing the paint from the defected Metal parts. This will be done to the Products which are rejected as defective in Cathodic Electro Deposition [ CED ]. The preliminary shows the view about stripping by various methods and chemicals. The comparative study between all stripping chemicals is also done and the variations among the sulfuric acid and rust oleum stripper is tested and analyzed successfully. Thus the report shows that the stripping by this alternative method was cost effective and would cause minimum hazardous and toxicity to human health. A detailed work of material balance procedures are given. Thus from the Cost estimation it is clear that the payback period is 1 year and 160 days. Also the Safety data sheet, site selecting parameters and the layout of the plant are also studied.
