September 2009 - September 2016

Contract oversight on outside vendors for a variety of services required by FEMA to assist disaster survivors. I was a Contracting Officers Technical Representative (COTR). The largest contract for which I was responsible was the Language Line as required by Congress. I monitored and supervised the vendor to provide translation services during all disasters which required them to meet very stringent and multiple metrics.

TEXAS UTILITIES

February 1986 to August 2009

I worked as a senior buyer for 14 years in TXU’s gas pipeline, coal mines, and at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Station. Major purchases included all wire rope, pipe and fittings, hose, instrumentation, spare parts for 4 of the world’s largest draglines, and all requirements for the gas pipeline system. I worked for 13 years as a Senior Materials Analyst. I was responsible for maintaining the correct inventory levels and counts for 17 gas plant warehouses. I supervised the individual warehouse managers.
