then was assigned to VBHEC where I worked for approximately 6 months, then my position was moved to the Mechanical Shop. (Consolidated positions to just one department by facilities director).

Was due to statewide layoffs, PM supervisor left.*
Duties in PM shop were as a helper at the start, then after layoffs in ’02 I pulled double duty as PM mechanic, and supervisor. Responsible for upkeep of building equipment in my designated zone, and for all aspects of supervising the shop (ordering supplies/tools, time and attendance, scheduling)

Had position changed from Trades I to a Trades III after facilities director did a in band adjustment for all mechanical shop Trade I workers. (Initially started by myself and a group of Trades I workers).
Obtained back flow license, asbestos removal/sampling.
In 2007 headed a plan to replace/start modern water chemistry for all open and closed loop systems on campus. Assisted contractor with identification of building systems and installed new controllers for all open loop systems on campus (academic and housing). Worked closely with water chemistry contractors to set up and develop procedures for testing and adding chemicals to closed loops on campus (academic and housing).
Responsible for preventive maintenance across entire campus at one time or another, including assisting housing. On all types of equipment, boilers, pumps, motors, cooling towers, chillers, and associated systems.
Have assisted PM supervisor with numerous projects from inventory to equipment documentation.
Have assisted PM supervisor with training of new PM employees on campus locations, equipment and general maintenance practices followed on campus.
Daily use of university van across campus and for going off campus to service university satellite campuses. Was responsible for keeping van clean, stocked with tools and supplies, gassed up with state fuel system.
