Current Role: Civil Inspector 2 with BC Hydro.
Job Description / Duties
Keeping track of daily project reports and review of construction design documents and specifications for non-routine non-standard technically complex civil work. Develops a thorough understanding of the civil construction requirements, identifies potential problems with projects, and provides technical guidance for non- routine technically complex civil work to project managers, engineers or designers prior to construction. Liaise with Project Manager, Engineers and designer with tender evaluations, contract negotiations and awards by performing duties such as reviewing tenders for completeness of scope, suitability of requirements, applicability of civil design for site specific conditions, and technical constraints.
Coordinates distribution design review for constructability, standards and specification adherence, quality control and safety assurance.
(Site C) on-going Dam project engineering review and coordinates preconstruction meeting, Inspections and reports including (Site C) 600m long diversion bridge under construction with the street lightings and installation of traffic control signals.
Coordinates design, construction and inspection of major feeder projects involving directional drilling and installation of underground assets for BCHydro/Enbridge gas station
Pioneered design, review and constructuction of the first five thousand roll outs of the (EV) electric vehicle charging stations in BC for BCHydro.

Provides guidance and information to BC Hydro staff involved in design and claims matter
