Receive and acknowledge new claim case from Principal, establish and review case file and relevant data, schedule site visit, where appropriate – select team of specialists (i.e., forensic accountant, engineer, building and/or restoration contractor, construction consultant, quantity survey, salvor, etc.), attend site and gather factual data pertaining to the claim/loss following an in-depth interview with the Insured or relevant party (and staff or witnesses if relevant, collect relevant data, identify recovery and salvage opportunities (and act appropriately as instructed), provide Principal with complex report based upon the information obtained during the site investigation and from any other pertinent source, commenting on detail relevance, circumstances of loss, validity, Policy application, Policy response, loss data, and quantum of loss, supported by additional documents, photographs and for losses where construction is a concern, prepare a full Scope of Works and a detailed Xactimate estimate for inclusion and consideration by Principal, within the Preliminary report, thereby enabling the Principal to internally manage their reserves, thereby managing all stakeholders expectations. In addition, the Adjuster manages all aspects of the litigation process, including depositions, mediation and claim negotiations as well as claim settlement (within designated handling authority). In addition, Richard regularly:

• Managed a small team of senior adjusters (including onboarding, interviews, mentoring, training, and dismissals).

• Managed a book of business including a caseload of 50 to 85 SME Commercial and Residential claims for full lifecycle.
