6. EXTRAORDINARY ACHIEVEMENTS UNDER TEQIP-III (WORL BANK PROJECT ON TECHNICAL EDUCATION):
(Period June 2018 to September 2021)
Accreditation/SAR upload (1.1 Institutions): 40 against 78 programmes (51 % against target of 50 % thus achieving 100% project target).
Accreditation/SAR upload (1.2 ATU/AKTU): 79 against 1025 (7.7 % against target of 5%, thus achieving 100 % project Target).
Autonomy (1.1 Institutions): 01 submitted application for UGC autonomy - Institutions namely IET Lucknow has been awarded UGC Autonomy and 01 BIET Jhansi against target of 02, thus meeting 100% Project target.)
Autonomy (1.2/Affiliating Technical University/Dr APJ AKTU): 01 Institution NIET Greater Noida granted UGC Autonomy, the first in Uttar Pradesh).
UP became the best performing state in the country among TEQIP states in terms of GATE result – consistently best in country for three years – 39%, 41% and 41%).
Placement have increased drastically from 15% to 55 % among TEQIP institutions.
Many other reforms like Induction training, SELP, FDP, Future Skill, ICT, Digital learning – online learning, labs, testing and assessment, Hackathon/Bootathon etc were successfully implemented in all the project institutions and affiliating technical university – the first in the country.
152 Webinars conducted in Uttar Pradesh by SPIU-UP alone in solo mode or collaborative mode – covering all issues including NEP 2020 alone 25 nos.
09 State Steering Committee (SSC) Meetings were held during the project period, highest in the country.
Ecosystem and enabling Mechanism was developed for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Industry-Institute Partnership, Mentor-Mentee relationship
150 faculty were trained in various future skills and who in turn trained 7500 students in future and emerging skill areas apart from various other skill development programs 200 in number targeting 10000 students in state of UP
