Sandia National Labs: facilities technologist/ Mechanical Planner 09/20/2021 - PRESENT

Working within MAXIMO creating work orders, ordering materials, creating/editing job plans, creating/editing PM’s, assigning asset numbers to new equipment or equipment that is replaced, scheduling/planning work orders for SWING SHIFT and MECHAN 5. Also back up for MECHAN 3 and MECHAN 4 when other planners are out of the office. Detailing and moving urgent work orders into ready to go so the team lead can assign and send out the craft to urgent work orders per the agreed service level agreement.

Verifying if the warehouse has material in stock, if they do not then I request a quote from our vendor list and create a purchase request. Keeping track of when the material will arrive once the materials arrive, I notify the craft and team lead. I then schedule the work orders for the team lead to assign the work order to the craft for each weekly schedule.

Working side by side with the team lead when scheduling work order to make sure we give the correct available hours for each week. Communicating with team lead to schedule work orders that are a higher priority over other work orders.

Communicating with Building managers, building occupants, and customers to schedule an appointment or a walkdown for work orders when required. I must communicate with building managers and occupants to coordinate access for some building and rooms, so the craft to be able to access the equipment on the work order. Scheduling an escort for some craft when required. Attaching any permits required some examples are confined space entry permits, hot work permits, fire impairment permits, outage request permits, JSHE, WPQA checklists, LOTO, Bio surveys, wildlife issues, excavation permits, penetration permits, NEPA and lead and asbestos testing.

Communicating with other planners for support work orders where we need their support. Planning multi-craft work orders scheduling walkdown and making sure we are all able to do each trades work order. Communicating with the WCC to verify that the work order/ service request is given to the correct group or if the planners, team lead, and craft need more information from the customer who submitted the service request. To be able to find the equipment or get a better understanding of the issue.

Nstone Corp. - Mechanical maintenance scheduler at SNL 03/22/2022 - 09/19/2021

Working with Maintenance planners, customers and team leads to ensure the plan of the week schedule is developed in MAXIMO by each weekly deadline. I assist mechanical planners with attaching permits, eco tickets and wildlife tickets that are required. I will also verify all required attachments, appointment, and any information that the craft may need is in the work order before allowing the work order to go into ready to go status. This is to minimize delays for the craft, customer, and the building occupants.

Build a plan of the week (POW) schedule in MAXIMO, communicate, and coordinate with customers, building managers, building occupants, team leads, craft and planners daily. Scheduling Urgent work order and verity they are meeting requirements of the service level agreement.

Ensure materials for each work order are in stock if it’s not check if a direct order has been made. Verify the direct order material has arrived and is ready for pick up by the craft. If any material was not ordered notify the planner so that they can place the order before we put the work order on the schedule.

Scheduling appointments for work orders with customers to minimizes any interruptions and make sure that the building occupants are aware of any work that is going to start. So that all parties who may be affected by the work order assigned to the craft are notified and can be prepared. This is a major step as this could be a safety issue. It could affect a critical mission project that the building occupants are working on or any test they may be performing, this work order could create many issues and safety concerns. We must verify when we schedule a work order that everyone this could affect is notified and updated prior to starting the work and when the work order is finished.
