QUALIFICATIONS

General Ledger reconciliation and maintenance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll (ADP, Kronos, Paychex, Ultimate Software, Ceridian, other internal), Fixed Assets, bank reconciliation’s, Daily cash reporting, Petty cash, Inventory reconciliation including performing physical inventories and Construction accounting. Create/process journal entries, queries, reports and analysis as required. Strong understanding of GAAP as it applies to above. Employment background includes achievement and responsibility in the following areas: Strong experience in the field of Payroll from time collection to the processing of checks, adjustments, garnishments, gross-ups and bonuses. Also responsible for Workman’s Compensation reporting and audits, processing of expense reports, 1099 filings, EEO reporting, benefits administration, including 401k. Experience in Construction accounting, including bank draw process and contract tracking

Experience with various MRP and finance systems such as Yardi, Abila MIP, JD Edwards, Peachtree, Meditech and ExpressNet. Strong experience with various office software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Quattro Pro, Word Perfect, Lotus 123.

9/17 to Present Sr. Payroll Specialist – Community Memorial Health Systems

Process and assist in the coordination of the activities of the payroll office so as to ensure timely and accurate payment to employees. Process time cards for bi-weekly and monthly payroll cycles. Calculate and submit bi-weekly/monthly payroll taxes online, processes and submits quarterly and annual returns. Retirement plan (403b & 457b) management including weekly submission of contributions, reconciliations and annual audit preparation. Conduct payroll training and new hire orientations.

5/10 to 9/18Senior Staff Accountant/ Payroll Accountant -Cabrillo Economic Development

Responsible for Construction Project Accounting, including bank draw process, tacking of funding, tracking contract expenses, all related A/P & A/R. Responsible for payroll using Paylocity software and 403b plan management. Benefits reconciliations, all GL payroll account reconciliations and journal entries. Create/process queries, reports and analysis as required. Help with other projects as needed.

10/07 to 8/09 Accountant.- CST

Responsible for Fixed Asset maintenance. Reconciliation of F/A accounts that had not been touched in over 2 years. Processed payroll, including bonuses and tax liabilities and account reconciliations. Working with team to convert current payroll system to new system. Special projects as required.

1/06 to 10/07. Payroll Administrator – Semtech

This position was responsible for all Payroll functions using ADP software. Payroll was processed for multi-state locations. Also responsible for Workers Comp audits, Bonuses, and tax liabilities. Reconcile all payroll related Balance Sheet accounts. Communicated with all managers regarding department changes, salary changes and shift changes. Helped to support Month-End close process, internal audits, backup AP and AR as required along with special projects when needed.

12/02-1/06 Accountant. – Chatsworth Products, Westlake Village

Processes complex, multi-state payrolls in accordance with company policies and federal labor laws. Processes non-standard payroll transactions such as garnishments, Non-qualified deferred comp, 3rd party sick pays, reimbursement gross-ups, etc. Creates and processes manual paychecks. Also prepares monthly payroll-related journal entries in the general ledger as well as various payroll and tax reconciliations. Ensures proper tax filings, assists in benefits administration issues, researches payroll and benefit law changes and regulations to ensure company compliance. Performs responsibilities related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable. Follow GAAP principals as it applies.
