Deputy Manager Operation January 2018 – Present

Act as a leader by building constructive relationships and by supporting department leadership in developing, setting and executing department goals and the strategic plan in accordance with Sorfert mission statement, support leadership with the management of staff and day to day operations for the assigned area of responsibility.

Senior Utilities Operation Engineer March 2011 – December2017

Sorfert Fertilizer Company Spa Oran, Algeria

Lead the preparation and execution of the commissioning and startup activities of Utilities and ammonia for the fertilizers plant in accordance with contractual requirements and project objectives in terms of safety, quality, and budget.

Prepare and keep up-to-date of the commissioning execution plans for all sections in utilities and ammonia

(flushing, water run, air and steam blowing…, first start up).

Supervise the preparation of the commissioning procedures, Supervise the preparation of the performance test procedures and of the operating manuals with the process team by preparing flow sheets PFD and P&ID reviews.

Manage the execution of commissioning by providing all human, equipment’s and technical resources.

Prepare the commissioning progress reports to the project management and to the commissioning department.

Supervise, if required, the performance tests with the vendors and provide suggestions if required.

Train young Engineers for the best running and command of units

Elaborate SOP’s and HAZOP, HAZID, RCA reviews.

Coordinate with process owners and technology owners to define technology requirements to support company process strategy and deployment.

Review of PID’s, PFD’s, basic and details engineering of the plant and offsite utilities

Member as process safety engineer in the committee of Hazop elaboration

Follow progress of all Engineering activities

Manage all engineering changes and ensure updating of the Project documentation.
