Functioned on a interdisciplinary team, treating patients who are (1) accused of serious crimes and who are undergoing psychiatric examination prior to trail; (2) Patients who have been found mentally incompetent to stand trail; (3) patients who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation after being adjudicated “not guilty by reason of insanity”, and (4) patients who have become mentally ill while serving sentence and have been transferred from a correctional institution to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for treatment.
