EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Possessing a multi-functional, international background, I have worked and lived in fourteen countries across five continents. I have a unique set of financial and managerial skills which has enabled me to gain a wide array of experience in both the financial services sector and energy industries. Throughout my career I have managed several teams, business units and wider organizations in executive capacities while obtaining and often exceeding project or P&L objectives.
As a persuasive communicator with well-developed presentation and negotiation skills, significant added financial value has been created for organizations through application of financial and commercial skills in M&A, corporate finance, business development, and senior/executive management roles.
SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
As the lead financial advisor to the Kazakhstan government in the IPO of the state-owned oil company, KazMunaiGas, I was solely responsible for conducting a comprehensive asset valuation on the company, establishing the value of the company at $6 billion. Subsequently, I was then tasked with writing the entire prospectus for marketing and regulatory purposes which was then utilized in the successful launch (as all the available shares were taken up on the opening day of trading) on both the local and London stock exchanges.
As Managing Director of the newly established European subsidiary of Duke, based in London, I was responsible for managing a team of analysts in conducting a European-wide analysis of the power, gas, coal, and oil markets as well as assessing the impact of regulatory environments on potential investment decisions. Based upon this extensive report a start-up European strategic business plan was written and presented to the corporate board of directors which was fully endorsed. Subsequently, the European office originated the successful acquisition a $200 million European gas pipeline which enabled trading to commence in the European energy markets.
As the Managing Director in the oil & gas capital markets group at Alfa Bank based in Moscow, I managed a team of equity research analysts in producing reports on Russian oil companies.
