• Implements and designates rules and regulations and safety program.
• Inspect promptly and regularly the equipment or
properties to recognize potential accidents hazards and designs additional safeguards or improved physical conditions.
• Inspect the worksite daily and investigate unsafe condition.
• Conducts investigation of accident in order to gather all facts pertinent to the subject under investigation.
• Shows or advertises safety by talking, walking, living, and working all times.
• Provides reading materials or uses the bulletin board, pamphlets for further information and references.
• Participates in collaborative deliberation for
determining outstanding workers as part of motivation techniques, additional benefits, promotions or
terminations.
• Liaises with the Client Site Safety Representative(s) and other plant concerned authorities or contractors on work related safety requirements at site.
• Carries out daily site surveys ensure: only safe work methods are in operation, adequate fire and fall
protection are in place, adequate welfare and first aid facilities are properly maintained, approved tools are being used and sufficient Personal Protective
Equipment provided and properly worn.
• Closely monitors scaffold erection/ dismantling work, permit-required confined space entries, crane
work/lifting operations, hot work, equipment
tenderization, tie-ins, and similar hazardous activities and ensures that all relevant requirements are complied with.
• Checks and ensures compliance of site work-force with the approved Safe Work Permit System/ Procedure in the plant.
