Detail to work in the Vaccine tent for the Moderna Covid-19 two shot series. This detail included education, vaccination and observation of the Veteran to watch for serious side effects from the vaccination.
Detail to the CDU which is a COVID-19 positive unit/rule out unit. In this unit we test and monitor possible COVID positive patients who appear to be clinically positive and then send them to the appropriate units for further treatment once status is determined.

As an agency nurse I was contracted out to various hospitals working in the ICU and Emergency Department with assignments for 13 weeks at a time.

Progressive Cardiac Telemetry/Charge Nurse, with teams consisting of an RN, an LPN and a PCT. The RN assigned daily tasks while completing daily morning assessments on 8 to 10 patients.
ICU Nurse/Charge Nurse which consisted of a Medical/Surgical ICU, Neurological ICU, and a Cardiac ICU. The ICU nurses were also part of the Code Team, rapid response team and IV Team, which served the entire 352 bed hospital.
While a nurse at Bay Regional I organized and ran a Kaizen event which set forth the organization and redesign of all nursing units in the hospital making them more functional and streamlined for the nurses.

Assisted two parent families in the Work First Program in building resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills and appropriate clothing for interviews. Many times, this included helping them to obtain insurance for their vehicles and sometimes to purchase the actual vehicle.
Opened a satellite office in a nearby city which employed 6 staff whom I managed. Our group was responsible for getting participants interviews at local businesses in that town. We were able to get 70% of the participants employed over a 4-year period, and approximately 50% of them remained employed at the same place after 1 year.
