Senior Process/Project Engineer

Provide project management, engineering and technical support for product manufacturing at the Corporate level through expense and capital projects to support the strategic goals of company. Project management experience includes plant expansions, corporate acquisitions, new production line installations, new product development/introduction, core problem solving, project management, Subject Matter Expert (SME) for continuous improvement and lean initiatives of all processes from ingredient delivery at the start of line to the finished product entering the wrapper room. Engineering experience includes over 15 years in Corporate Engineering Process Group. Tonights Menu Intelligent Ovens (TMIO) Inc. 2003 - 2007

Director of Mechanical Engineering – 1% ownership -startup company

Mechanical design responsibility of a new appliance with cutting edge technology and materials . Sub-component manufacturing from start to finish with UL858 and FCC Part15 compliance (multiple patents submitted) for Internet/cell phone controlled refrigerated double wall oven. The 538 mechanical parts were designed, drawn and released in less than two years. Shared Plant Management duties and constructed over thirty units for Best Buys stores (i.e. www.bestbuy.com). Creating a “team work” attitude to accomplish the task in a quality, cost and time effective manner was a must. Start of design, building of models from soft tooling, testing, passing UL858, UL858a, FCC Part15 and UL250 and production start up. Complete program responsibility for the redesign of GE’s line of freestanding electric and slide-in gas/electric products (168 SKU’s) managing a $900 thousand overall program budget and $420 thousand in capital spending (Sears top 10 item removed with redesigned one piece door. Successful achievement of project launch date and product feature and benefit requirements allowed the business to realize millions in sales revenue of $5 million: service call rate was reduced by 3%, and the yield on productivity efforts was 10%, and the manufacturing scrap reduction of 3%.
