Nutricima is a milk processing plant where I was employed as a Maintenance Technician and I worked my way up after a year to be a maintenance superintendent to lead other technicians working as a team to achieve the company’s main goal, reduce downtime and increase production output regarding the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) standards.
Manage maintenance (preventive, predictive, corrective) and supervise a team of 4 Technicians to ensure optimal production output by minimizing mechanical and Electrical downtime on all the production machineries. (Steam boiler, filler, labelers, sterilizer, can seamer, homogenizer, case former, case packer, conveyors, pumps, heat exchangers, inkjet coder) etc.
Implement an inventory organization, reordering process and usage tracking for all maintenance parts, components and critical spares resulting in a reduction of production downtime, service call time and no more out of stocks of critical spares.
I worked with the chief engineer to develop a maintenance tool cart inventory and tracking logs to ensure all tools taking into the production line are brought back and counted immediately.
