Position: Cubitainer Production Supervisor July 12, 1973 - Present

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, I assist the Plant Manager in supervising, monitoring and assigning duties to all shift supervisors on shifts to ensure that orders are properly filled, safety procedures are followed, quality standards are met, and company policies and procedures are followed. Trained all new employees in all aspects of the job. Implemented and ensured compliance of all new policies and procedures when necessary to all employees on the shift. Performed all duties according to ISO specifications and standards. Responsible for all safety, quality, discipline, production and paperwork to ensure that products produced meet the customers’ needs and company standards, and that employees comply with all rules and regulations established by the company and the department.

Assigned duties to all employees on the shift. Complete and monitor all required reports and paperwork necessary for production records. Monitor all machines for problems at all times during the shift.

Monitor performance of all employees for safety, quality of work and housekeeping. Assist and/or advises in troubleshooting mechanical and technical problems. Maintain supplies needed for production.

Orders supplies when necessary. Evaluate employees on performance at appropriate intervals. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Position: Extrusion Mechanic

For Cubitainer Department. Accountable for keeping machines running at maximum efficiency to produce a product that meets company and customer specifications.

Checks quality of product and machine parameters for correct settings once an hour.

Made adjustments to machine if necessary. Maintain material feed systems.

Troubleshoot machines and equipment for repairs or adjustments before a breakdown occurs. Checked cycles to make sure machine is running at maximum efficiency to produce quality parts. Made boxes and supplies operators with materials.

Checked shop orders for correct product identification, component parts, labels, resin, and special customer requirements. Completed line changeovers as needed, including molds, resin and neck inserts.

Completed production paperwork in regards to production, reject counts, downtime, shift, product number, and date. Communicated technical problems to Shift Supervisor and Department Manager. Followed and carried out all company policies, procedures, and regulations. Trained subordinates and others, as required. Trained all Mechanics or prospects on job duties. Performed all other duties as assigned by Shift Supervisor.

Position: Set Up Mechanic

Supervised Lead Mechanics and was responsible for properly and effectively completing all Cubitatiner machine-tooling changeovers.

Direct and participate in all machine tooling changeovers. May also direct and participate in resin and additive changeovers. Standardized set-ups within and between machines for similar products.

Maintain set-up books. Enhanced set-ups by optimizing current parameters and adding new parameters. Completed First Article Inspections after start-ups. Monitored start-up and production methods to reduce scrap.

Inspected machine condition, both set-up issues and maintenance issues, and implements corrections. Maintains machine logs. Lead troubleshooting efforts when machines are malfunctioning, or manufacturing out-of-specification products. Inspected molds and completed maintenance work orders for repair.
