Attended Waupun High School, Waupun, Wisconsin, class of 1979. GPA: 3.28. This high school had an advanced electronics program, which included basic electronics DC/AC, Vacuum tube circuits and systems, Solid State basic theory, circuits and systems. Electronic troubleshooting and servicing techniques. This final unit I also helped teach, along with one other advanced student, as I was already servicing electronic equipment for a local TV/Stereo shop.
Also during high school, I took an independent study program in digital logic theory and design. The aforementioned other advanced student and I helped develop the final examination for this program, which was subsequently used by other students who pursued this program.
As a teacher, I taught numerous amateur radio electronics theory courses at all levels during my years in Rochester, NY. I was also a volunteer examiner, and helped administer hundreds of amateur radio license examinations. I am Certification Chair for the local SBE chapter Broadcast Engineer Certification Program.
